IMMUNITY: Reduce infection and inflammation

WHAT IS IMMUNITY?

Immunity can be either natural or artificial. Immunity is what protects you from infection and inflammation.

WHAT'S THE BEST KIND OF IMMUNITY?

Because artifical immunity, via vaccines, is never 100% and is often much less than that, and can contain harmful ingredients such as mercury, focus on getting your protection against infection and inflammation the natural way.

WHAT ARE THE BEST NATURAL WAYS TO UP YOUR IMMUNITY?

Eating well and exercising daily are two of the best natural ways to raise your immunity.

Foods and supplements to focus on:

  1. 5-10 servings of vegetables and fruits a day plus at least handful of nuts or seeds, which will provide your body with the nutrients your immune system needs. Have one of the following daily to provide vitamin C: ell peppers, broccoli, citrus, kiwis and berries.
  2. Legumes. Baked beans, kidney beans and others are a powerhouse of nutrients including zinc which may reduce some upper respiratory infections. Smash up some white beans to thicken soups and stews. No one will ever know they’re there. Add red or black beans to salads.Have a handful of peanuts as a snack or add fresh peas or garbanzos to your salad.
  3. Fish. The omega-3 fatty acids in wild salmon and other cold-water fish and flax seeds will strengthen your immune system. The antibiotics, chemicals and disrespectful ways cows, pigs, and lambs are treated during food production do not bode well for health and wellness
  4. Non-animal fat. Avoid meat, milk, and cheese and use nuts, peanuts, avocado and use coconut or olive oil to cook with and put on your salad, and move to a vegetarian diet.
  5. Grains. Eliminate bread, pasta, rice, cereals.
  6. Rrimrose oil or black currant oil can reduce inflammation.
  7. Probiotics. Many studies have shown your digestive system, where helpful bacteria live, can protect you from inflammation and infection. Daily eat plain yogurt with added healthy bacteria, pickles, saurkraut, kefir, or tempeh.
  8. Vitamin D. Expose your face and arms to sunlight for 15 minutes (light-skinned) or up to 45 minutes (dark-skinned) several times a week. If you live north of Boston, take a tablespoon of cod liver oil once a day.
  9. Garlic. Put it in salads and when cooking.
  10. Medicinal mushrooms, such as shiitake and maitake
  11. Immune-supportive herbs. Try astragalus, eleuthero or American ginseng.

HOW TO CONFER IMMUNITY ON YOUR UNBORN BABY IF YOU'RE PREGNANT AND WHAT DO DO AFTER BIRTH

Confer immunity on your unborn baby:

1. Keep following the nutrition and exercise recommendations above.

2.Have a vaginal birth. Your birth canal is full of immune substances that your baby will absorb will traveling down it that confers immunity on your newborn. A C-section provides none of them nor does it offer the essential closeness after birth between mother and child.

3.Breast-feed. Your breast milk is the preferred food for your baby; drinking the milk of another species, the cow, can lead to allergies and other threats.
